Hi, my name is Cormac and this is my blog. On the web circa July 2006.

Selling Links from my Blog Roll.

May 1st, 2007 by Cormac Moylan · 10 Comments

Links make the web world world spin. A lot of the time it spins for free but there are those who recognise the importance of paid anchored links. The cauldron for link selling and buying can be found at the Digital Point Forums.

My blog recently stagnated at a Google Page Rank of 5. Happy days :)

Why not make some quick bucks on the back of my increase? Why not indeed. I created a thread selling links from my blog on the digital point forums.

Blog Roll for Sale

Did I jump the gun on the price? I would have thought that $50 per year for a single link was a good deal. I have dropped the price to $35 in the hope of getting some of my own shoe money.

If you are interested in purchasing a link from my blog roll then feel free to contact me.

Nice one on the PR 5. Mines still stuck down on 3 :( Your SEO must be working well because I believe you told me not so long ago that mine was above yours? Good work!

your /blog url has a PR of 4 and your root has a 3. I would imagine that if 301′d all your /blog traffic that your PR would be 5 as well.

Good luck with the sale. Good to know that my Joost invite saved me some money ;)

You are under selling yourself Cormac. $50 a month yes but a year? lol its like shopping at Tesco’s.

What do you think would be a valued price to charge per month Gavin?

Paul, all the blogs I read are added for free anyhow…but if you want to be more “official” about it…

    I wouldn’t sell below $25 (sorry U.S. keyboard) a month.

There are a number of factors that should be considered when selling such as age of blog/site, amount of posts, position of text link, your page view count etc etc.

Nice move. Good luck with it.

    Hey Cormac,

Have to say I’d agree with Gavin. The links I’ve got via Text Link Ads are making 80 bucks a month, and I flogged a link on a football blog for 250 quid for the year, thats PR3 as well. Have you considered TLA at all as a revenue option? If you’re on PR5 you’re accepted already…

*Agree with Gavin as in 50 quid a year is selling yourself a bit short if the traffic is there. Sure you’d blow that in a night out :)

Ken, I’d blow that in a morning!

My T-L-A account is buggered. I was accepted ages ago and when I log in I click on get ad code and then it says that I have no sites accepted. I go to enter this blog again and then I get a message saying that my blog is waiting to be accepted. Weird.
