New Battlestar Galactica Movie coming this November

July 14th, 2007 by Cormac Moylan · 4 Comments

I just noticed a thread on boards.ie mentioning a prequel movie to Battlestar Galactica, the best Sci-Fi show in the world….after Enterprise, The Next Generation of course!

The movie, which I presume is going to be in a similar mold to the BSG mini series, is about Galactica’s sister ship Pegasus and focuses on how the when’s / how’s / who’s and what’s of her encounters with the Cylons after their attack on Earth.

Admiral Helena Cain is to be the main lead but the more familiar faces of Admiral Adama, Apollo and Starbuck will also be making an appearance. (IMDB)

The movie is called Razor as is set to be aired in November via the Sci-Fi channel. The BSG series will be returning in early 2008 but the dates have yet to be confirmed.

Below is the only trailer available for Razor..

    Cormac,

I seem to remember a post related to “Heroes” on your blog some time back - I see BBC2 is screened the show, starting Wednesday 25th July at 21:00.

Spread the word, to those still in terrestrial TV land!

    Hi Francis,
    That’s season 1 I would presume…

It’s a great show if you haven’t already had the oppurtunity to catch Heroes.

Those posts on Heroes were getting approx 2,000 hits per week! Madness! The momenteum has all but gone now though.

    Cormac,

Season 1, it is! I’ve seen the first six or seven, but looking forward to catching the full season. They are also airing a “Behind the Scenes” type show, directly after the double bill tomorrow night.

It has been getting an amazing following, particularly among people that I wouldn’t consider to be sci-fi/fantasy fans.

    Oohh, behind the scenes…
    Interesting. I’ll watch that so.

Yeah, it’s one of those shows that I would recommend to my mother and I know she’d love it. You can’t beat an excellent story no matter what the genre.
