Kerbdog - On The Turn (Free MP3 Album Download)

September 16th, 2007 by Cormac Moylan · 17 Comments

In and around 1997 there were a small few albums which I had on constant rotation on my CD player. Nirvana’s Nevermind, Beastie Boys - Ill Communication and Kerbdog’s On The Turn.

A few days ago I looked up some of Kerbdog’s videos on Youtube for nostalgic purposes. Sally and Mexican Wave were the two singles from On The Turn which Dave Fanning constantly showed each Sunday morning on the Beat Box. The Killkenny three piece were at the forefront of the Irish Punk Rock scene and big things were expected of them. Legendary producer GGGarth weaved his magic over On The Turn but the album didn’t sell enough units and Kerbdog were dropped from their record label. That didn’t stop On The Turn becoming a cult classic. It is without doubt the greatest punk rock album I have ever listened to.

I ventured over to Kerbdog.com a few days and I found their complete discog within their Gallery for download. I have named all the mp3s and uploaded the 12 tracks from On The Turn so you can download this remarkable album for yourself.

Here is J.J’s Song as an MP3 in case you want to preview a track before downloading the Zip (I love the bass in this track, the “2nd coming” part is genius).

Growing up with Kerbdog… what a joy! The odd night of band practice will still yield a Kerbdog song or two for nostaligic reasons.

On The Turn certainly one of my favourite albums ever. Always thought it was ahead of its time, would love to see it tackling the charts nowadays.

    Hi Jon,
Kerbdog were an epic group in min-epic standards! Love them. How do you mean “Does anyone know where i can get Kerbdog?”

I provided a download link to their album in my post. Their stuff is also available as mp3 download on iTunes. You will probably need to check Virgin or HMV if you’re looking for a CD. I checked out Amazon but they don’t have their album. They did have this one though. http://www.amazon.com/Kerbdog/dp/B000008N7R/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1215095267&sr=8-1

I never heard of that album.

Yeah thats the one, that was their first album. If you like” on the turn” you will love this one!!! Reminds me of being a teenager everytime!!

    Thanks again for the link!

    Keep rockin’ ;)

The first album is da bomb!! The b-sides rock too… if you put together the 3 songs from Kerbdog era with the 8 songs from On the turn era, you’d have a whole nother album. Also, some of the Wilt songs were rehashed Kerbdog songs (working for the man and I want it all) plus others just sound like kerbdog (peroxatine)
