Manchester Orchestra are neither from Manchester or consist of any orchestral musicians. But they are playing support to the Kings of Leon tonight and tomorrow night at the RDS. A gig at which I will be in attendance.

Absolutely fantastic band. I love them.
It was announced today that KOL are also headlining one of the nights at Oxegen this year. Nice!

I quite like Manc Orch alright. Pity they don’t have proper videos on Youtube. Oxygen eh? Mmm.

Did I see a report somewhere that KOL literally “lifted the roof” or “brought the house down”?
How was as much of their set as was actually performed?

Yeah, some tiles fell from the roof during the Tuesday gig. I went to the Wednesday one. They played most of the stuff from their new album and then about 6 or 7 songs from the other two. They didn’t leave out any of their big tracks. Excellent gig. I took some crap pictures on my even crappier phone so I might throw them up later….after I return from Interpol’s gig tonight
