Marios Alexandrou from SearchGrit.com has arranged a list of blogs he frequents which use the dofollow function instead of the default nofollow in their comments field.
I figure that others might be encouraged to get on the DoFollow or YesFollow bandwagon if they were shown a list of other sites that have made the switch.
Marios is using the Link Love plugin for Wordpress in order to remove the rel=nofollow attribute within the link syntax. This attribute basically tells the search bots not to follow or index this link within the SERPs.
Randa Clay has created an icon which helps to give a visual representation to those involved in the Do Follow Movement. And very nice it is too..
David over at Ogle Tree SEO has taken a different slant to Marios and has listed some top SEO bloggers who are still using rel=nofollow in their comments. There are cases where nofollow is relevant to have in your arsenal against spam. Many of the bloggers mentioned by David have replied to his post stating their reasons for not enabling this feature.
I posted about the nofollow tag a few months back with regards to spam and nofollow within Wordpress In that post I gave my reason for enabling dofollow…
The nofollow tag did a great job of cleaning up comment spam in general in the blogosphere but it was mainly unprotected blogs which were targetted. As long as you actively moderate your comments and take action against spam there is no reason not to enable this feature.
I’m using Semilogic’s plugin to enable dofollow.

I take part in a similar movement called, Do Follow, but they both work the same way. This has to be the best thing for the blogosphere, freeing up comments for link love.

I agree with your feelings about do-follow. Do you know of any bloggers that are anti do-follow?
