Finally settled on my Fantasy League 11

I’m pretty confident of doing well this year in the Fantasy Leagues. Last year I labored in mid table mediocrity but I think I’m finally after figuring out how best to approach these types of leagues.

My answer….feck the defenders and spend the money on goal scoring midfielders!

I have picked five defenders, each with a value of 4million (the cheapest value possible. This has afforded me the luxury to pick an attack minded midfield filled with goal scorers and playmakers and a front three who should each score close to twenty premier league goals apiece.

All i know is that my team is definitely better!!!

Given, ferdinand, carvallho, shorey, ronaldo, parker, cahill, essien, tevez, berbatov and torres.

Damn!
That is a good team. Torres has the potential to be a real bargain.

Mmm, I might reconsider my defense actually, but I would have to sell Lennon to finance a high scoring DF such as Baines (4.5m) and another like Dunne(5m).

I’m surprised you haven’t snapped up a beleaguered Titus Bramble.

Who is your Taylor? Matty? If so, looks like you have quite an attacking defence also.

Yeah, good ol’ Titus.
That’s the Brummie Taylor. I have dropped him to the bench and I have changed my team around (slightly)

Emm midfielders do not score that much more then defenders. A right back or left back of a good team will average 6 points a week,

Hi Simon,
The midfielders I picked score more than the usual amount of goals. Ronaldo and Lampard could hit 40 between them this season. O’Neil scorred a good few last season too. I think Dean Whitehead will be S’Lands’ best midfielder .

The 3 defenders I have should all figure in the top 20 defenders. I think WH, ManC & AV are going to be a lot tighter at the back this season. Their managers are good at organising defenders.
