..that would be so much funnier if we were using Pounds instead of Euros
Anyway. I joined a Gym nearby to work on Friday. SVFitness are approximately a 45 second journey from work. You can sign up for a year’s account for €399, not bad at all when you consider the nearby Clarion Hotel charge at least double that. The only difference between the two is the missing swimming pool from SVFitness.
I decided against going for the year’s a/c as work will pay €365 towards a club/soceity of my choice once I’m there six months. Instead I opted for a month to month membership which costs $60 per month and also a $35 membership fee. If I like the Gym then I’ll get work to pay my way
I had to splash out a new pair of runners which cost €60. I also need a new gearbag as the one I had was way too large to be lugging about, €32. I don’t have any white socks, €20 for 6 pairs. I only have one pair of shorts so I bought another pair, €20. I don’t want to wear any of my expensive Paul Frank t-shirts to the Gym this time so I picked up a cheap t-shirt instead, €15.
I still need to pick up another two t-shirts and another pair of shorts to cover a week of pumping the guns! So without even breaking a sweet the Gym has cost me approx €275. It pays to feel good! Does it?
