I did it myself, but I run into some problems with the permalinks on one of my blogs. Got it sorted but what a pain.
I am not doing anything with the other one, not yet anyway.

I updated one of my blogs, but now the number is getting close to 10 that I run, so I think I will just do every second update from now on. At least it’s normally enough just to overwrite the files.

Definitely looks like it could become a fair bit of work updating a large number of blogs.
I’ve already stripped my local file storage to work off one word press folder, with themes and plugins for each site getting their own folders.
I’m considering switching to one plugin folder as well, as updating the common plugins is getting tedious as well.
That said, I’m going to play around with the one click plugin updater, which could make life a lot easier!

I used that One Click solution before - http://cormacmoylan.com/blog/wordpress-blogs/one-click-solution-to-wordpress-theme-and-plugin-installations.eire - It’s quite handy. I must revisit it shortly actually.
