Darren Rowse’s blog looks less bloggy and more like a magazine after this much need re-design. How long was that orange design used? It wasn’t the most pleasant looking of things to be honest. The revamp looks very nice.
Darren uses Wordpress but he has heavily customised the front-page to give his blog a more CMS feel. Expect a few posts over the coming days on the ins-and-outs on how the revamp came about.
I came across a post on limpag.com a while back on how to use WP as a magazine site, should be useful reading if you like the new Problogger design.

tru indeed he received a facelift - its for the better - I got a little confused with his design as I was so use to his old one

Hi Ian,
I read over your post and I agree on the layout of the recent posts. They should ideally be centered under the video image. But where should the ‘best of problogger’ piece go? That is perfectly placed to grab the user’s attention.
