Arg! Finding an ‘off the shelve’ wordpress template is impossible. The collection of templates that are availabe at the Theme Viewer are grand but if you really want to find a nice template you’re going to do some searching thru some God awful mucky templates.

So far I have 11 themes installed on this blog. The dirty tweleve minus the one are:

Glued Ideas - Subtle

5ThirtyOne - Foliage

Balance 1.0

fLight 1.1

fUnique 1.0

Hemingway 0.19

K2 0.9.1

Krad 0.1

Rounded 1.0

Unionjack 1.0

WordPress Classic 1.5

Out of the lot Hemmingway and Balance are the two which I can see most potential in. The major downside is a lack of a decent 3-column template. K2 is the leader in 3-columns but there is something too ordinary about it for my liking. I did, however, find a tasty little site which may help give K2 a bit of juice. K2 Styles and Mods.

I’m going to have to sort something out quick. A frankinstein creation composed of bits and bops of a few templates awaits. Watch this space. In the mean time enjoy the current template. It’s a Subtle Theme.
