It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia

November 3rd, 2006 by Cormac Moylan · 1 Comment

Without doubt the greatest peice of comedy television I have seen ever. There have been some outstanding comedy creations in the past such as Only Fools and Horses, Father Ted, George Bush and of course The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. But now a comedy, which is in its 2nd series, has really come to life.

Gold!

It’s always Sunny in Philadelphia is a cross between the styles of Sienfield and South Park in the sense that is clean and crisp but dirty and downright really dirty at the same time. It has storylines which nobody else is brave enough to write. Great actors. Witty quips, and the way the scenes are peiced together is a credit to its creator Rob McElhenney.

You know you’re not watching goldfish tv such as Friends when titles of the episodes include Charlie gets Cancer, Charlie got Molested and the Gang finds a Dead Guy.
It has just started to air on Bravo. Here is what the Bravo propaganda machine has to say:

Three friends run an Irish bar in big gay Philadelphia. Not sounding very Bravo?
Well it is.We are not about to get metrosexual on your ass. This is funnier than Friends. Sharp dialogue. Edgy storylines. Hitting an anti-abortion demo to pick-up chicks? Using a black girlfriend to prove you’re not a racist? The three lads just can’t get it right. Luckily Dee (Kaitlin Olsen) is there to keep them under control. Bad me up with another tequila. This is worth a shot.

Currently there are a lot of clips up on youtube, including episode 3, Underage Drinking (A National Concern). So why not click play and enjoy?
